Sheath Fluid Concentrate
Each 100 ml bottle of QuantaCyte Sheath Fluid Concentrate makes 5 liters of sheath fluid for use in flow cytometers and ploidy analyzers. This sheath fluid is not a physiological salt solution and is not for use with viable cells in cell sorters. The primary ingredient is a non-foaming detergent which prevents bubbles and cellular debris from adhering to the flow cell and disturbing the laminar flow. A low concentration (0.01%) of sodium azide in the sheath fluid inhibits growth of microorganisms in fluidic systems.
